Five Free Things to Do With Your Spouse This Weekend (No Childcare Required)

Husband, wife and child looking happy

So I’ve been at this blog thing for almost a year now (can’t believe it) and I’m still hearing it, over and over again: What do we do when we don’t have money to go out or we can’t pay for a babysitter? Never mind the e-course that addresses just that, or my list of things to do without childcare required. You’ve got options!

Today I’m giving you five more things to do with little to no money and no childcare required. I challenge you to find at least one thing on this list and do it this weekend. No excuses!

Take a walk No excuses, unless you don’t have feet. They’re all you need for this one.

Have a picnic If you want to get fancy with a pretty basket and wine you can, or you can make it as simple as taking whatever you planned to eat anyway outdoors.

Watch the sunrise/set I am not a morning person, so “set” would be more my speed. Although the times I have been up to see the sunrise have been amazing.

Try a new recipe You’re going to eat anyway, right? Find a recipe using mostly ingredients that you already have in your house and make it together.

Fight with water balloons If you’re my age, you might remember when Super Soakers were hot in the streets. In my neighborhood, those were a luxury. If you didn’t have one you just threw buckets of water on each other. If you don’t have a super soaker, and really want to get some fun started, get a pack of balloons (they’re about .50 to $1) fill one up, and throw it at your spouse. Warning: If you are a man and don’t know that your wife doesn’t care about getting her hair wet, do this at your own risk! I take no responsibility for any undesired consequences.

Spice up your marriage in 15 days with our free e-course.

Do you have anything to add to this list? How do you have fun with your spouse when you don’t have money or childcare?

Yeah, the outdoors feels a little oppressive right now. although we’re supposed to have a cooler (relatively) weekend.
